Abstract
Congestion on highways has become a serious problem in recent years. It is due to the increase in population and the increasing number of cars per household. There is one car for every two residents in the United Arab Emirates which is causing traffic congestion on a daily basis. Congestion wastes time, energy and increases economic costs.
