Abstract
Peripheral nerves are vast communication networks that transmit information from the central nervous system to the rest of the body. The aim of this research is to resolve the issue of severed peripheral nerves by incorporating electrical and chemical engineering concepts. The four solutions investigated are: mutlichannel bionic neural link, synthetic polymer tubes, functional electrical stimulation, and terminator liquid metal alloy.
